Make Room for Deep Work in a Busy Week
A practical way to reclaim focus time when the calendar and inbox keep asking for attention.
Deep work does not appear by accident. It needs space, and that space is often the first thing to disappear when schedules are reactive and routine follow-ups are scattered across several tools.
Start with the work that needs your full attention
Choose the two or three outcomes that genuinely need your judgment this week. Put realistic blocks on the calendar before accepting lower-priority meetings, and leave a small buffer around those blocks so one late call does not erase the whole plan.
Move repeatable coordination into a system
Scheduling, reminders, inbox sorting, and status updates are important, but they do not always need to be handled by the same person who sets strategy. A documented routine and a trusted support partner can keep these small commitments moving while you focus.
